Quilt Along 2- Zig Zag Quilt

I am doing the quilt along with Old Red Barn and Park City Girl. Dana and Amy are in this one together, With Amy leading the quilt along.
I have my fabric all picked out (still stash-busting and sticking to my goal), all ironed and ready to cut in the above pic.

Now to cut out- my favorite part! Since I am doing a lap quilt, I cut out 5" squares. Laid them out in the order I want the rows to go, and am waiting for the next step. It should be posted tomorrow.

If you want to quilt along, check out Old Red Barn Co on Flicker. While there check me out on Flicker too! Lots of fun! I am under Rose of Sharon Studio.

Quilting Quote

"Do you have a quilt in progress?" "Yes, indeed. That's a question you never
have to ask a quilter. There are quilts in our heads, quilts in the way we pile
our fabric on our shelves, quilts on our design walls, under the needles on our
sewing machines. Quilts waiting to be bound. Always quilts. Some of us will die
planning the next one. We won't even notice that final breath."
~from Emilie Richards' novel Sister's Choice

Quilts and their Story

"A quilt hung on a clothes line in the dooryard and idly flapping in the
wind receives twice the appreciation given one which is sedately folded
across a wire with many others in a crowded, jealous row."

New Quilt Along

One of my finger labyrinths.

New Quilt Along!
There is a new quilt along being started on Flicker by Old Red Barn Co. The last one we did had prizes every week, ending with a grand prize of a Janome. No, I didn't win the machine, but I did finish a quilt using my black and whites. :)
I am going to quilt along with Dana (Park City Girl) again and use up more of my stash, and continue fulfilling my New Years resolution of using up what I have before buying more. No, it has not been easy! But it has been rewarding. Come join us on Flicker. Look up Old Red Barn Co. new quilt along, and join in the fun!
